A Brooklyn hairdresser slipped on water in Kings Plaza Mall, sustaining serious injuries. The Mall and its security company bitterly fought the case all the way to trial. We dug deep into the mall records, spending two full days reviewing several years worth of log books to determine the truth – that flooding was a regular occurrence in the mall. The jury found negligence by the mall and the security company for not cleaning up or roping off the wet floor. After the verdict, the case was settled for $625,000.00.
